The industry associations from across the Maritimes, representing more than 4,000 farms, are concerned by the announcement to close the Nappan Research Farm and the implications this decision has for agricultural research in Atlantic Canada.

June 4, 2025 – The Newfoundland and Labrador Federation of Agriculture (NFLA) is now accepting applications from farmers for its On-Farm Climate Action Fund (OFCAF), which will provide more than $7.5 million for farm projects to address climate change.
