Curtis Somerton

Curtis Somerton is a 27 year old egg producer and pullet producer in Newfoundland. He was born on January 5th, 1981. Curtis always had an interest in his family farm so when he graduated from Prince of Wales Collegiate High School in 1999, he jumped right into the family business as a third generation farmer. He has been managing their 70,000 bird layer flock and 36,000 bird pullet flock for 9 years, he recently built a new farm facility in Ocean Pond, where he lives with his family. Curtis became a member of the Board of Director with the Egg Producers of NL in 2006 and he became a member of the Board of Directors with the Newfoundland Labrador Federation of Agriculture and AACI in 2007.
